Tupac Amaru Shakur, também conhecido por 2Pac, Makaveli, ou simplesmente 'Pac, (Nova Iorque, 16 de junho de 1971 — Las Vegas, 13 de setembro de 1996) foi um rapper, ator, poeta e ativista social. Ele entrou para o Guinness Book como o maior vendedor de CD de gangsta rap, com mais de 75 milhões de álbuns por todo o mundo, incluindo 50 milhões somente nos Estados Unidos. Seu nome de nascimento era Parish Lesane Crooks, porém sua mãe alterou logo após o nascimento, mudando a certidão de nascimento de acordo. Tupac Amaru significa "Serpente Resplandecente" em quechua, e é uma homenagem ao líder revolucionário Tupac Amaru II. Shakur é a palavra árabe que significa "grato a Deus". Suas músicas tratavam da violência, desigualdade racial e às vezes de disputas com outros cantores de rap. Muitos fãs, críticos e membros da indústria fonográfica o nomeiam como o maior rapper de todos os tempos.

Foi morto em 1996 a tiros na cidade americana de Las Vegas, num crime que não foi esclarecido. Ele teria recebido cinco balas: duas na cabeça, duas na virilha e uma na mão no dia 07 de Setembro. Ficou em coma durante sete dias e morreu em 13 de Setembro às 04h03.
